Ammonium Tetramolybdate, (NH4)2O.4MoO3.2H2O
Ammonium Tetramolybdate, (NH4)2O.4MoO3.2H2O, is prepared by the action of warm hydrochloric acid or nitric acid upon the ordinary molybdate, and yields transparent triclinic crystals. The solubility at 18° C. of the salt is 3.67 grams in 100 c.c. of water.
