Lithium Trimolybdate, Li2O.3MoO3.7H2O

Lithium Trimolybdate, Li2O.3MoO3.7H2O, is obtained by evaporating a solution of the tetramolybdate, removing any crystals of molybdic acid and concentrating further, when long slender needles separate. When fused and ignited in hydrogen, a dark violet lustrous solid, resembling the alkali tungsten bronzes, is obtained.
